Manchester, along with the rest of Greater Manchester, is now using a new form of testing. The tests are primarily designed for people who do not have symptoms of coronavirus (asymptomatic testing) and as the tests do not have to be sent away to a laboratory to be analysed, the results are available more quickly – in approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
