Your appointment

We operate an open surgery every morning Monday to Friday.

Our phone lines open at 8:30am and slots are booked until there are none left.

Our phone message will let you know if all the lines are currently busy and to phone back or if the appointments have all gone.

Evening surgeries are between 2pm and 5:40pm by appointment only but medical emergencies will be accommodated.

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Evening & weekend appointments

Working in collaboration with Manchester Extended Access, we are pleased to offer access to GP, nurse and HCA appointments.

The practice operates one early morning each week and one later evening each week, as well as an evening nurse clinic for cervical smears. Manchester Extended Hours also has a limited number of weekend appointments. To book appointments simply ask the receptionist who will arrange an appointment for you. This may not always be at your usual practice, but the GP or Health Care Professional who sees you will have access to your medical record and can issue prescriptions if required and deal with other matters appropriately should the need arise.

As well as phoning to arrange an appointment, you can now use an online form on the practice website to get in touch. One of our team of doctors, nurses or other healthcare professionals will respond with the help you need. Speak to our reception team for more information.

We also use a service called LIVI – this will be for a video consultation. Livi is a remote consulting digital service for eligible patients above the age of 1. They partner with NHS practices and Urgent Care Centres and are an extension of that Service.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit.

Home visits by the nurse for the housebound are pre-booked.

If you require a home visit by the Doctor please ring the surgery before 11am if possible to enable the doctors to plan their visits.
